GUEST BOGGER: TRIPLE THREAD
Last week we introduced you to Triple Thread blogger, Ashlyn K.
Ashlyn rocked one of our BeBop Dresses for Seventeen Magazine and we couldn’t be prouder!
Her gorgeous blog, sweet, whimsical style and genuine love for the BeBop brand is both refreshing and inspiring.
Ashlyn recently styled up our Black Lace and Tulle BeBop Dress, accessorizing with Starbucks, steam and little red booties.
We are proud to say she is a true BeBop Girl!
Get lost in her photos like we do…
1. When did you start blogging, and what influenced you to create your own blog, Triple Thread? What made you choose the name, Triple Thread?
I started blogging about four years ago, under a different blog name. I took a little break, but knew that I had to keep blogging for a creative outlet. I started Triple Thread to encompass my style, my photography, and my writing. I’ve ended up covering a lot of music, so I guess just keeping my blog based on three categories didn’t work out! That’s actually how I came up with the name. I adore puns and I was focusing on three of my greatest interests. Instead of Triple Threat, I decided to reference the fashion element of my blog and go with Triple Thread!
2. How would you describe your style?
I used to really struggle with this question, but over the past year, I’ve realized that my style is classic but never boring. Or, to wrap it up in a cute tag line, classy AND sassy.
3. Is there any celebrity whose style you covet?
Although I don’t really follow her music, I absolutely adore Taylor Swift’s style. I’ve loved watching it evolved and I think she always look so cute and put together.
4. What is your must-have holiday item and why?
This year, I’m all about the sequins. I’d say that my champaign colored sequined dress will be in heavy rotation this holiday season. It photographs so well and has such a WOW! factor.
5. Who or what inspires you in your work and everyday life?
My mother inspires me both sartorially and ambition wise. Not only does she have killer put together style, but she’s also shown me through out my entire life that I can really achieve anything I want to if I dedicate myself to it; not to mention the fact that she has been so supportive of all my endeavors. All of my parents actually deserve a big shout out for not only allowing my to chase after my dreams, but encouraging me to do so.
6. If you could style any celeb for a red carpet event who would you choose, and which designer would you most likely dress them in?
What first sprang to mind was Natalie Portman in Rodarte because of their history, but really, the possibilities are endless.
7. You mentioned to us that BeBop is a very special brand to you. Can you tell us how and when you first discovered BeBop and what the brand means to you now?
My relationship with BeBop started when I discovered the brand among the racks of stores in my very small town. We don’t have much of anything in the way of fashion here, so being able to find on trend items was a huge deal. Since then, I’ve worn BeBop dresses that I’ve found to my high school graduation and in a feature story in Seventeen Magazine. It means even more to me now because I’ve gotten to work with you guys because of my blog. I think the BeBop dresses I have are a great timeline for my success.
8. What drew you to our BeBop Black and Tulle Lace Dress?
You really can’t beat the combination of tulle and lace or the color combination of black and camel. The dress is a total classic and I know it’ll look great in so many different situations.
9. Who do you think the best dressed male celeb is and if you could go on a first date with him what would you wear?!
Well my favorite name in menswear right now is probably only a celebrity on Tumblr, but everyone should know who he is! Kiel James Patrick has the greatest preppy style. Since we are both dating people (his girlfriend, Sarah, has a great fashion blog called Classy Girls Wear Pearls), we could go on a first double date sailing!
10. What is your go-to fashion item and why can you always count on it?
While I love shoes and handbags, I’d say the item that always makes my outfit complete is a belt. I wear one almost every day and am constantly picking up more. I think that a belt is so flattering around the waist or casual and laid back around the hips of some boyfriend jeans. I rely on my woven leather belt that I picked up at Goodwill more than any other item in my wardrobe!
